Big Congratulations to the team at Endeavour Interactive for taking out hotly contested ‘Best Use of Technology in Learning’ award.

Endeavour Interactive partnered with the learning and development team at Defence Housing Australia (DHA) to produce an innovative and effective eLearning module on ‘Physical Security Awareness’.

We created realistic video-based scenarios where the learner chooses how to react in various situations and faces real-world consequences. This ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ style of learning allowed the learner to navigate a series of threats to personal safety and the security of DHA property within the safety of a simulated experience.

The use of technology, combined with the ability to choose the outcome in the form of an interactive comic strip, produced award winning results. An overwhelming 82% of learners reported being “pleasantly surprised” by how engaged they became in the module. A huge achievement for a compliance module!

Endeavour was also thrilled to be finalist in ‘Best Use of Gamification/Simulation for Learning’. As if this wasn’t enough, our nominee, Mark Anderson, was finalist for ‘Learning Development Professional of the Year’.

We are briefly basking in our success before moving on to bigger and better challenges. Look out 2016!
